As summer arrives, the city is bathed in warmth and sunshine, evoking the vibrant tropical charm of Southeast Asia. This season, The Window Café at The Kowloon Hotel brings food lovers to the “Next Stop: Nanyang Summer”, a culinary journey across Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. Featuring a curated series of iconic regional dishes, the buffet offers a one-stop experience to explore diverse Southeast Asian flavours — perfect for a spontaneous summer escape.
The dinner buffet celebrates the essence of Nanyang (Southeast Asian) cuisine, where signature spices and authentic ingredients create a vibrant balance of sour, spicy, sweet and savoury notes. Appetisers include refreshing favourites such as Thai Raw Shrimp with Spicy Chili Sauce, Thai Green Papaya Salad with Beef, and Thai Spicy and Sour Chicken Feet, alongside Thai Minced Pork with Lettuce Wrap and crispy Vietnamese Prawn Crackers and Spring Rolls.

For mains, highlights include the rich and aromatic Lobster Laksa with Thai Roasted Pork Belly, freshly wok-fried Pad Thai, and classic Hainanese Chicken Rice. The Thai Pineapple Seafood and Crab Meat Fried Rice adds a tropical touch, while soups such as Tom Yum Seafood Soup and Bak Kut Teh showcase contrasting regional flavours.

Hearty hot dishes like Black and White Pepper Seafood, Cereal Prawns, Malaysian Satay, and Sambal Stingray, complemented by Stir-fried Vegetables with Belacan, further enhance the spread.

Desserts present an array of beloved Southeast Asian sweets, including mini Durian Egg Tarts, soft Mango Sticky Rice, and nostalgic fusion — Kaya Toast Pudding. The fragrant Pandan Chiffon Cakes and Pandan Coconut Sago Puddings provide a refreshing light finish.

From the live cooking stations, must-try items include Pan-seared Foie Gras and Japanese A5 Wagyu Beef, alongside satisfying favourites such as Slow-roasted Ribeye and the classic Peking Duck.

A creative new highlight, the Coriander Basque Cheesecake, introduces a unique pairing of rich creaminess and herbal freshness for an unexpected twist.
