The older generation made good use of the wasted parts to create new dishes at low cost but with extraordinary tastes, such as Golden Coin Chicken, Braised Pomelo Peel, Braised Duck with Eight Treasures and Boneless Chicken Wings. These great, rich, labor-intensive culinary masterpieces of the Hong Kong have almost disappeared from the restaurant menus. However, a special “Old Hong Kong Taste” menu will be launched at Hoi Yat Heen Chinese Restaurant in March to bring you back to the past and lets you discover these great tastes from the old days.
